Description
The Wurtherington Diary: The Little Doll Girl. Art by Nour Hassan and Duy Truong.
The guards grabbed Alfred and me and escorted us to the dungeon.
Alfred protested as we both were rushed off by the guards. "Take your hands off me! This is a big misunderstanding. I lost my way and I'm not with her!"
A few minutes later we were both chained to a wall in the dungeon.
Alfred was distressed. "I have become accustomed to my head. I'm really going to miss having it. That isn't so bad; however knowing that it will sit up there with those other heads: all of us staring at one another with nothing better to do...."
I listened for nearly an hour to of the sad state of affairs from poor Alfred. I heard a whisper.
Psst...."It was Zeke. "We are going to get you out of here. I take it that your meeting did not go that well. Your accommodations do leave a bit to be desired."
Alfred said, "I am glad to see you. I must say that I have never been quite so happy to see your face. You can forget any denigrating comment I ever made if you get."
Zeke disappeared and Cedric slithered through the bars and sauntered up to the pair of us. He examined the chains that bound us to the wall."The soldiers marched out of the city an hour ago. When we did not see you we figured something went wrong."
