Description
Art by Duy Truong.
The hawk pulled alongside of us. The cutest elf you could ever imagine was riding it like a cowboy would ride a horse. "Hello!" he said, "I don't remember ever seeing you up here before. What kind of bird are you riding?"
I said, "She is a vulture and her name is Polly. We come from very far way. That is why you have never seen a vulture."
"My, my, Polly," he said, "you are a mighty big bird!"
Polly said, "Caw, caw, caw!"
"I'm pleased to meet you, too!" The little elf tipped his hat. "I am Manheim. Why don't you follow me and visit my village?"

I really appreciate what other people can do with art. I wish I could put every crazy idea on a canvas that I can visualize, "Heaven Forbid". But then, maybe that is why I can't! I love the "people who fly away on a birds back". It would be a lot more comfortable then the Airline! L/F

I gave up flying a long time ago. If I could hitch a ride like this, I'd travel all the time.
