Description
The Wurtherington Diary: The California Gold Rush art by Duy Truong.
Goldie tossed Mrs. Endicott into the water trough and that brought it to an end. Well, almost so. Goldie slipped and fell in horse dung and ended up with it all over her clothes and face. Mrs. Endicott ran down the street carrying what was left of her dignity and Goldie pushed back into the Sourdough Saloon. She grabbed a beer and splashed it over her head in an attempt to wash off the dung. She looked at me with pure hatred. "You pushed us out there and look at me!" The bartender handed her a mirror and held back a smirk. She took one look and cried, "I hate you!" and began hurling beer glasses at me. I grabbed a chair and fended her off as though she were a crazed steer that had eaten too much locoweed. I backed toward the door and soon was out of sight and reach.
