Description
The Wurtherington Diary: Tammy and the Declaration of Independence Art by Duy Truong
When I found my desk in the classroom I could see the American flag was exactly where it belonged. I said," Mrs. Prescott, I'd like to lead the class in the pledge today."
She smiled. "Of course, Tammy. Come up front and lead us today."
I stood proud and tall and recited the words with the class." I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
I remembered that first flag with so few stars and said a silent prayer. Thank you, God for my brave founding fathers and for all that they have done for me. I will forever remember each and every one of them. Amen.
