Ali Baba laughed and explained it to all of us while he saw that we were served served mint tea and pastries. The girls began to dance to a stringed orchestra. Ali Baba said, "What you saw in the village was a show for Mardonio's soldiers. The soldiers are like preying mantis who strip the land of all its wealth. They seize anything that has value in the name of taxes."
