Art by our favorite gal, Duy Truong,.......This is our first piece of art in our new book.. Soon, we decided to take a break from the story and walked up and down River Street. A young man was tacking up posters. We gathered around as he affixed one to the wall of the watch shop. Zeke wondered, "What does it say?"
The young man said, "You are all invited to Buffalo Bill's Wild West. It is a show all about cowboys and Indians."
Cedric's eyes lit up, "Is this the Buffalo Bill that is in a book?"
"Oh yes!" said the young man. "I am in the show and Buffalo Bill is an amazing man." He handed Zeke a handbill.
I inquired, "Are there Indians in the show?"
He said, "All the real Indians are long gone, mum; however we all dress up like Indians with war paint and all."
He moved on and we carefully read the poster. I said, "The show is far away in Columbus. We will never see it. 'Tis much too far for a little girl to travel."
