September 1, 1881
Dear Diary,
I soon discovered that it is the nature of war for plans to disappear with the wind. One must take into account that the enemy is going to thwart your every move.
Our bee landed at the gate to the city. Moments before, Alfred suggested that we drop off Cedric and Zeke before we reached the entrance. I could see no harm in it and instructed them to keep an eye on us as best they could. The pair fluttered to the grasses and hid.
A Captain greeted us. Welcome to Capira. We were told that you might visit our city.
I noticed the name-tag on his uniform, Captain Johnson. Thank you, Captain Johnson. We will allow you to lead the way. This is our first trip to your city. I hope you don't mind.
A squadron of guards surrounded us and we marched through the streets with little fanfare. We strolled up and down a cobblestone road that wound endlessly every which way and that. It was lined with quaint shops bustling with shopp...
