Description
Art by Duy Truong.............Book 8, Robin Hood and the Magna Carta.............We walked to the gate. He gave the order, "Open it up and be ready to close it upon my order."
"Aye, Captain!"
The levers turned.
The gate dropped ever so slowly.
Soon it was fully open. The Captain walked through the entrance and then out onto the walkway with us. The soldiers peeked around the corner anticipating the very worst. Perhaps an arrow would fly in their direction....
Then, perhaps not.
Several followed behind the Captain tiptoeing—ready to run back to the safety of the gate and close it up.
Robin offered his hand to the Captain. He said, "'Tis as she hath said, ye hath nothing to fear. Welcome to a new world, my friend."
They clasped one another like long lost brothers. It was over. We had captured the Tower of London without a single drop of blood being shed.

I agree with Jane below--the warmth of the handshake and eye contact really stands out--and as a serious occasion, but there is also a joyful lightness to it.
