Description
Art by Duy Truong......................The brave pulled an arrow from his quiver and broke it in half. "Geronimo will never go along with this. Geronimo would rather die an Apache then to be raised like chickens by the white man!" Geronimo walked to one side and drew a line in the grassy plain.
"Chiricahua warriors who are with Geronimo, come to Geronimo now and real warriors will leave this camp."
A dozen warriors stepped over the line and joined Geronimo.
Cochise said, "You are no longer Chiricahua. You disgrace your heritage. You are not welcome in our village. Should you ever appear here you will be killed. I wish to never see you again. Go now!"
Geronimo and his braves rushed out of the camp on ponies in a cloud of dust.

Reynold, this is a very interesting moment in Native American history. I am very fond of the Southwestern tribes, in particular, having lived in NM for a decade. I attended ceremonials, e.g., on the Mescalero Reservation. I am very interested in the Chiricahua tribe as well. You have brought much interest to this important legacy with your excellent art work! l/f/g+
