Description
Enjoy the art from "Only For Very Good Children" by Sunshine Publishing Company Cir. 1910. Artist is unknown. We will be restoring a few pages from this rare book. Frank and Alice decide to play "The Sleeping Beauty." Alice arranged the screen to set the stage and wore a wreath of flowers upon her head. Frank wore his prince hat, wrapped in his mother's circular for a cloak, and carried a toy sword at his side. Together they became the Sleeping Beauty and the prince who gave her a magical kiss while baby Anna and little Maggie applauded the reenactment. This is part two of the set.

Love this period art and always loved this story. What little girl didn't dream of her prince charming? OK that reveals my age.... l/f

I can envision this in color already. So many wonderful details. What an excellent project to be working on next. To be bringing back these early 1900 pieces of children's work is so worthwhile. l/f
