Description
The Wurtherington Diary: The California Gold Rush art by Duy Truong.
The stagecoach arrived and out stepped a strapping cowboy that towered over everyone. Someone figured it was one of my two deputies and said, "He ain't muchlet's take him!" The tall stranger turned around and leveled the poor devil with one punch. Another went for his gun and he pulled out his gun and shot the weapon from the man's hand. Another barely got a gun out of the holster and the stranger grabbed it and gun butted him. Everyone was impressed with this display of courage and applauded the new deputy. I said, "No, that is not Rattlesnake Cedric." I pointed to Cedric who was assisting an older lady with a bird cage. "That is him!"
"Where?" They were so short no one could see either of them. Zeke held the lady's parasol. Zeke and Cedric flew up to the top of the stagecoach and tossed down some of the luggage.
"There they are!" said Jessie Cole.
Durango said, "Are these the killers that are going to bring law and order?" He and Cole's men burst into laughter and the ladies shook their heads. I could see that they were disappointed. I will admit they did not look like much. Cedric and Zeke scowled a bit like they had practiced; however no one took them seriously. I said, "Yes, they are my deputies and you can all figure from this moment that law and order has arrived in Coloma."

Thanks for waxing nostalgic over our Art School days, Reynold, & for creating an American frontier-of-the-imagination so visually appealing that even the bad guys could credibly be wearing white; it's an amazing oeuvre--even when glimpsed one scene at a time. The ongoing process is evidently keeping you young at heart--& we viewers along with you; blessings & health!

Madalena Lobao-Tello
Fabulous artwork. Love the colours and composition !!
Reynold Jay replied:
Hi Madalena, I took a peek at "Symphony of colors" and loved it. I also play the guitar, made recordings, etc. You did a marvelous job painting it up like you did. I bet it is displayed in your living room where your guests can view it. Something like this has a value that goes far beyond the monetary. Thank you for taking time to stop by and making a comment. Always appreciated.
Misuk Jenkins
Lovely image!!!
Reynold Jay replied:
Hi Misuk, It is not polite to inquire; howver I must tell you that Duy ( who did this art) is a 30 year old Vietnam gal with a lot of talent. All of my stories are about Tammy, a little girl living in Ohio in 1883. I was taken into the mind of a six year old girl in Ohio when I co-authored her biography of a tragic child hood. I looked over you bio and see you found inspiration on your travels around the world. I now FOLOW you
