Description
The Wurtherington Diary: The Little Doll Girl. Art by Nour Hassan and Duy Truong
Something came running across the prairie like a lightning bolt, straight for us.
Alfred grabbed my hand. Oh, ohI don't like the looks of this.
Zeke grabbed my leg.
They were scared y-cats of the first order. I had to set down the sewing basket. The bolt of lightning came to a screeching halt directly in front of us. Greetings matesMay I be of service to you today?
Alfred held my hand very tight and said, What and who are you?
I could see he was another flying mammal a bit like Zeke however he was about a half foot taller. He hovered for a second or two and then settled on the roadway.
Snazzy outfits! He peered at Zeke and Alfred. In the blink of an eye he seemed to disappear and was behind us admiring the cloth from behind. Hmmnice-very very nice.
By the time we turned around he was front and center. I stomped my foot. Heyyou must slow down! I pointed to the cobblestone. Sit!
He sat down although his wings fluttered a bit. His tongue hung out like any pooch. I was tempted to get a rubber ball, but I did not have one in the sewing basket. Stop it with the wings too.
OkayI got it.
Don't you dare move.
Alfred repeated his question. Who and what are you?
You can call me Cedric. I'm a mongoose. Who, the devil are you?
