Description
Antique Warehouse was kind enough to offer a booth this winter for Reynold Jay. Book signing events are scheduled regularly. One of the readers took this photo of RJ with his nearly 100 books during a book signing event. FAA Art from the Wurtherington Diary line the wall.
Reynold Jay became the Saginaw Arts and Enrichment Societies "All Area Arts Award" winner in 2019. "When I won the award, I decided to let my hometown know that I had been quietly selling tons of books over the last 35 years all over the globe.Meeting face-to-face with readers is much more rewarding than looking at sales figures on an accounting sheet."
Reynold Jay gives everyone a free DVD he created last summer that features a "Stroll in the Park," while he discusses how the ideas in his Born to Be Rich book earned a small fortune for himself. His praise for teachers knows no bounds as he gives credit for his talented side to his teachers at South Middle School and Arthur Hill. He went on to become a teacher at Arthur Hill for 12 years ( 1986-1998). " Teaching at this prestigious school was a dream come true!"
He writes about his work with special ed. students in the acclaimed "Lean Against the Wind" novel. ( Cover by FAA artist, Rosalie Scanlon)
He often challenges readers to not like any book he has written with a money-back guarantee. Writer associates and readers agree, "Reynold Jay's money is safe!"
A big part of the success of the Wurtherington Diary is due to senior artist Duy Truong ( Vietnam) who made the series come to life with her gorgeous art. FAA artists, Hanne Lore Koehler contributed luscious water colors for Rose and her Little Lost Kitten, one of the spin-off books in the series.
The photo near his right shoulder was taken in 1985 at Crossroads Village at the height of his recording and performing career where he entertained at over 1600 events for five decades.
Reynold Jay concludes, " I don't anticipate any sales of this photo! It is posted here for my fellow artist associates to see me up close and personal."
