Description
Art by Duy Truong................Cochise said, "Cochise make peace. Chiricahua move to new lands soon."
I said, "You are a wise and great chief. Come with me and I will show you your news lands."
He was a bit hesitant but soon was aboard Polly. We did a figure eight around the village and then sailed off for the Chiricahua mountains. I knew that much of this was familiar to him; however seeing it from the air would be a great experience for him. When we arrived, we settled to the grassy plain and I pointed to the posts that set the Southwest boundary. A sign said Chiricahua Reservation. I said, "You can see the post set here to mark your land. The Great White Chief has declared these lands off limits to whites. Any that are there now will be removed. I brought out the map and showed him where we were and told him that it would take a fast pony a day or two to ride across the new Chiricahua lands.
He gathered the dirt in his hand and let it drift in the wind. He said, "Chiricahua land. It is good land."

Reynold, I have been in th eChiricahua mountains- it is a beautiful place and that is where Cochises' Stronghold is located. And of course where the US calvary chased the native american, Geronimo, all over the desert and mountains. It was fun reading the discription and book passage. Wonderful art too.
