Art by Duy Troung........ Book is nearly complete and we think Duy has come up with a beautiful cover......This is the sixth book in the illustrated historical series, The Wurtherington Diary. This is a stand-a-lone story and is part one of the real-life adventures of Tammy and Buffalo Bill Cody. Of course she is in good company with Alfred the mouse, Zeke the orphaned opossum, Cedric, the mischievous mongoose, and Polly, the good-hearted bird. This part of Tammy's diary takes place 1855-1861 during the days of the Pony Express. As with all the Wurtherington Diary books, this one abounds in developing worthwhile feelings for its young readers. Things like honesty, compassion, and respect for others abound on very page.
Reynold Jay is the leader of a team dedicated to publishing the fascinating 1883 Wurtherington Diary. Contact directly at :reynoldjay@att.net and art from the series can be found here. Anthony Lyon
Reynold, you never cease to amaze me. I'm wondering what other pleasant surprises will be added to your gallery. This is top class work, full of charm with a sprinkling of nostalgia. I note the lovely comment you made to Britta about never giving up. This was a comment my late father used to gently throw into a conversation if someone was struggling and losing heart. He took everything World War II could throw at him and I can still hear those quietly spoken words - "you never give up" - singing in my mind whenever I face difficulties. Lovely to hear those words from you too Reynold. Hope the book sells by the million. Voted.
Reynold Jay replied:
I bet your father and I would be best of friends. Thank you for your kinds thoughts today, Anthony.
Britta Glodde
Beautiful book cover. :-) But why is it not for sale. Do you have a contract with a publisher? I hope so. :-)
Reynold Jay replied:
Hi Britta! It will go on sale December 1. Nope on the publisher. I have been at this for many years and see nothing but rejection slips!! Good news is I never give up and set up my own publishing company and publish myself and others now!
