Description
Art by Duy Truong,................ The time: 1861 the year of the Pony Express where Indians controlled the lands and Express Riders carried a gun, a Bible and a mochilla filled with precious mail. ......................
Standing Buffalo whispered, "Wolf Packit is a Shoshone hunting party that runs with a white man they call Wolf Pack."
Cody told all of us to be quiet while the braves looked at the tracks we had left in the road. They gave it little thought and began to ride off. Unfortunately a rattler decided we had invaded its home and moved threateningly in our direction. Powder Face whinnied at the sound of the rattler and gave away our position. "Move higher into the hillside," said Cody while the braves moved straight for us. They fired arrows at us and Cody prepared to fire back with his Colt..................

Hi Reynold, It is always such a treat to tour your beautiful gallery and this water color is wonderful with fantastic details and so expressive. Nicely done. v/f

Reynold, it's an honor to have you drop by & pull up a few of your associative imaginings... This action-packed scene from the Diaries takes me back as well, to childhood radio broadcasts such as The Lone Ranger. Here, it's Standing Buffalo who speaks in the ringing tones of a heroic baritone--Kimosabee--the artwork is stupendous, as always!
